Ladywalk Reserve Sainsbury Hide

Last year, our good neighbour at Ladywalk, Sainsbury's plc, made a generous offer to foot the bill for a new hide at the reserve.

We were delighted to accept such a magnanimous gesture and the new hide, to be known as the "Sainsbury's Hide" was officially opened on Thursday 7 November, 2002, when assembled guests from various conservation bodies, local authorities, Sainsbury's, the press and the Club were present to watch the cutting of a tape.

Our picture shows Rob Amos, Sainsbury's site project manager, cutting the tape, with Steve Cawthray, hon. head warden (far left), and our two vice- presidents, Alan Richards and Frank Gribble (far right).
