West Midland Bird Club

Birds, Boxes, Climate and Cuckoos

A joint day-long conference with the BTO

To be held on Saturday 17 November 2012 on the old Longbridge Austin Works site, at Bournville College, 1 Longbridge Lane, Longbridge, Birmingham B31 2AJ (Coordinates: 52.3963, -1.9854) from 9.30am 4.00pm.

The college recently relocated there, with a brand new conference facility.

There will be six speakers on a wide range of topics during the day, including reference to invasive species, the travels of our Cuckoos, the impact of new energy sources on our birds, and ringing activities in the West Midlands. Amongst the speakers are two of our own — Jim Winsper and Graham Harrison.

At the time of writing, Focus Optics has agreed to take a display stand, and others will follow. The day will include light refreshments on arrival and departure as well as a buffet style lunch. All for £18
