Birding Events, in the West Midland Region, in November 2010

Anyone is welcome at the Club's indoor meetings. There is small charge for admission, with a discount for members of the Club. Members are also welcome to participate in the field trip activities of any branch.

This page also lists events not organised by the Club. Many links are to other organisations' websites (e.g. local RSPB groups) and the Club accepts no responsibility for their content. WMBC Birmingham Branch field trip Norfolk Weekend The Cliftonville Hotel *, 29 Runton Road, Cromer, Norfolk NR27 9AS (TG213423 *)
Travel by own transport (car sharing on Saturday may be more practical to minimise convoy size).
We will travel to visit Hickling Broad and Stubb Mill; Salthouse (Cley), Holkham and Titchwell — weather, tides and birds (of course) may decide detail.
Waders, wildfowl and sea birds are certain, winter migrants — Snow Bunting, Shore Lark etc. perhaps… cranes, harriers, owls, who knows — tremendous potential.
Cost: Around £65.00 per person per night. A deposit of £30 per person required with cheques made payable to The Cliftonville Hotel.

Taking you on a journey from one end of the UK to the other, Ashley will share with you the Images of birds he has taken around Britain. From our commoner garden birds to some of the rarer visitors to reach these shores, you will enjoy great images of well over 100 species and be treated to a surprise end to the talk to finish off an entertaining evening.

WMBC Kidderminster Branch field trip Slimbridge *, Gloucestershire GL2 7BT (SO735039 *) A full day visit to this popular WWT reserve on the banks of the Severn Estuary where there should be plenty of wild swans, geese and water birds. Travel by own vehicle and meet on the car park. There is an admission fee for entry to this reserve.
