Birding Events, in the West Midland Region, in September 2010

Anyone is welcome at the Club's indoor meetings. There is small charge for admission, with a discount for members of the Club. Members are also welcome to participate in the field trip activities of any branch.

Freshwater reedbeds, scrapes and meadows at Titchfield near the sea give possibilities of waders, Bearded Tit, Cetti's Warbler and Water Rail. Migrant terns are a possibility. Coastal grazing marsh with views over mudflats of Langstone Harbour at Farlington promises waders and wildfowl with potential for migrants and rarities.

WMBC Kidderminster Branch field trip Brandon Marsh Nature Centre *, Brandon Lane, Coventry CV3 3GW (SP380758 *) A half day visit by own transport to this well known 200-acre nature reserve run by the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust. The reserve has a number of open water pools attracting plenty of water birds. Meet on the car park.
