WMBC Stafford Branch indoor meeting Perkins Sports and Social Club *, Tixall Road, Stafford ST16 3UB (grid reference: SJ937231 *) Jim Almond: A Shropshire Birder's year.
This talk is based around Jim's 2007/8 challenges — a Shropshire year list. The aim: at least 150 different species (and as many as possible photographed). It takes us around many of the main birdwatching areas, not necessarily taken during that particular year — the best times to go and what you might find there. Shropshire is certainly not one of the best counties for migrants and rarities but expect a few surprises.
