Birding Events, in the West Midland Region, in April 2009

Anyone is welcome at the Club's indoor meetings. There is small charge for admission, with a discount for members of the Club. Members are also welcome to participate in the field trip activities of any branch.

This page also lists events not organised by the Club. Many links are to other organisations' websites (e.g. local RSPB groups) and the Club accepts no responsibility for their content. We will search for interesting local resident species, and lingering wintering species, as well as the first summer migrants and rarities that may be present.
Cost £56 per person per night for half board (no deposit). Book early for this very popular weekend meeting.

A Warwickshire Wildlife Trust Local Nature Reserve at the south-eastern edge of Leamington Spa. Breeding species include Common Kingfisher and Sky Lark. Our visit in 2008 to this Local Nature Reserve near Leamington Spa was spoiled by late snow: we hope that our return visit will see better conditions.

An opportunity to spend a whole day at Paxton at the peak time for Nightingale activity, and the arrival of summer migrant warblers and Turtle Dove in an area offering scrub, woodland, pools and marsh habitats. Finish the day with a well earned hot drink and a biscuit!
