West Midland Bird Club

Birding Events, in the West Midland Region, in November 2008

Anyone is welcome at the Club's indoor meetings. There is small charge for admission, with a discount for members of the Club. Members are also welcome to participate in the field trip activities of any branch.

This page also lists events not organised by the Club. Many links are to other organisations' websites (e.g. local RSPB groups) and the Club accepts no responsibility for their content. Such links are marked thus: *. You are advised to check with the organisers or venue before travelling. An interactive talk by our former Secretary, covering a wide range of subjects, involving audience participation. A lively evening materialised when he gave the talk at our Kidderminster Branch.
Note: this is a change to the originally-advertised programme.

WMBC Birmingham Branch field trip Norfolk Weekend The Beaumaris Hotel *, Sheringham, Norfolk (TG155431 *)
Travel by own transport (car sharing on Saturday may be more practical to minimise convoy size).
We will travel to visit Hickling Broad and Stubb Mill; Salthouse (Cley), Holkham and Titchwell — weather, tides and birds (of course) may decide detail.
Waders, wildfowl and sea birds are certain, winter migrants — Snow Bunting, Shore Lark etc. perhaps… Cranes, Harriers, Owls, who knows — tremendous potential.
Cost: Around £50 per person per night. A deposit of £20 per person required with cheques made payable to The Beaumaris Hotel.
