Lying to the east of our Blithfield reserve, Needwood Forest holds a very wide range of habitats and forms a major part of the National Forest. A wide variety of bird species are found in the area, and award-winning photographer Charlie Brown shows us these birds of this, his local patch, through his lens.

Travel by own transport (car sharing on Saturday may be more practical to minimise convoy size).
We will travel to visit Hickling Broad and Stubb Mill; Salthouse (Cley), Holkham and Titchwell — weather, tides and birds (of course) may decide detail.
Waders, wildfowl and sea birds are certain, winter migrants — Snow Bunting, Shore Lark etc. perhaps… Cranes, Harriers, Owls, who knows — tremendous potential.
Cost: Around £44 per person per night. A deposit of £20 per person required with cheques made payable to The Beaumaris Hotel.
