(SP050835 )	Traces man’s special relationship with these colourful, exotic and intelligent birds, and explores how they have been represented in art over the centuries.
Thursday 1 6:00–6:30pm	WMBC on Nature's Calendar	BBC Two.	See us on television. Chris Packham joined our April 2006 field trip to Woolston Eyes Bird Reserve, to record an item for this episode of his television series, 'Nature's Calendar'.
Friday 2 7:30–9:30pm	WMBC Solihull Branch indoor meeting	Solihull College, New Lecture Rooms, Blossomfield Road, Solihull B91 1SB (SP142790 ).	Keith Offord: Water for Life A welcome return from Keith,whose talk deals with the importance of water in the lives of birds.
Saturday 03 8:30am–2pm	WMBC Work party	Ladywalk Nature Reserve, Warwickshire (SP212917 ).	WMBC members are invited to come and help maintain the main pool at our reserve at Ladywalk.
Sunday 4 8am–7pm (approx.)	WMBC Birmingham Branch field trip	Forest of Dean , Gloucester (SO620100 )	Explore the Forest of Dean at a time of peak activity for Goshawk, Crossbill and Mandarin and other forest species. Cost £10.00.
Sunday 4 10:00am–2pm	WMBC Kidderminster Branch field trip	National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas, Staffordshire. (SK182144 )	Visit by car. If time allows we can also visit other reserves in the area. The Arboretum is located between Lichfield and Burton on Trent, just off the A38 on the A513 signposted for Tamworth. Journey time from Kidderminster is about 50/60 minutes.
Friday 9 7:30–9:30pm	WMBC Stafford Branch indoor meeting	The Centre for The Blind, North Walls, Stafford ST16 3AD (SJ923233 ).	Ken Webb: Florida's Wildlife. Ken visits with a view of the wildlife of the Sunshine State. Also the Branch AGM.
Sunday 11 09:30am–2pm	WMBC Stafford Branch field trip	Cop Mere (SJ804295 )	Besides being one of very few sizeable lakes in Staffordshire, Cop Mere is of importance for its range of swamp, fen and carr communities. Please meet on the roadside to the south of the mere. Leader Gerald Ford.
Tuesday 13 7:30– 9:30pm	RSPB South-West Staffordshire Local Group indoor meeting.	Codsall Village Hall, Wolverhampton Road, Codsall, Wolverhampton WV8 1PW (SJ867035 ).	David Tolliday: A Night of Birdsong Which bird was that? David helps you find out.
Friday 16 7:30–9:30pm	WMBC Tamworth Branch indoor meeting	Philip Dix Centre, Corporation Street, Tamworth B79 7DN (SK206041 ).	Phil Palmer: The Arctic.
Saturday 24 10:00am–1pm	WMBC Solihull Branch field trip	Pipers Hill Common (SO960649 )	A Worcestershire Wildlife Trust woodland reserve, where Lesser Spotted Woodpecker has been found. Early Chiffchaff may be around, and if it has been a good Brambling winter it could be worth looking for them in the beechwood areas. Approximate journey time from Solihull 35 minutes. Meet on the main car park, on the West side of the B4091 to Hanbury.

Wednesday 28 7:30–9:30pm	WMBC Kidderminster Branch indoor meeting	St. Oswald's Church Centre, Broadwaters Drive, Kidderminster DY10 2RY (SO841779 ).	Brian Draper: Where to Watch Wildlife Along The River Severn A very welcome return from Brian Draper MBE, whose informative and amusing lectures are always popular with our members. His lifetime working along the river systems of the area gave him the opportunity to find many excellent wildlife watching places. This talk will be preceded by the branch's AGM.
