Saturday 20 9:30am–12:30pm	WMBC Work Party	Belvide Reservoir Nature Reserve, near Brewood, Staffordshire (SJ870099 ).	Habitat improvement, including scrub removal and coppicing. Meet in the car park; tools and gloves will be provided. All help will be very welcome.
Sunday 21 10:00am–1pm	WMBC Solihull Branch field trip	Croxall Lakes . (SK188139 )	This Staffordshire Wildlife Trust reserve is one of several good birding sites around the Trent/Tame confluence. Smew, Jack Snipe, Merlin and Short-eared Owl are all possible. Members who want a full day out can go on to nearby Whitemoor Haye and look for Grey Partridge, Tree Sparrow and Corn Bunting. Approximate journey time from Solihull 50 minutes. Turn left off the A513 (Alrewas — Tamworth) between the National Memorial Arboretum roundabout and the bridge under the main Birmingham — Derby railway line.

Gerry Griffiths: Coast and Estuary Sounds This will be the third talk from Gerry Griffiths of Avian Adventures in his bird identification series. Excellent slides of birds in coastal and estuary habitats accompanied by their calls.

Sunday 28 10:00am–1pm	WMBC Kidderminster Branch field trip	Ladywalk Nature Reserve. (SP212917 )	A half day visit to the Club's Ladywalk Nature Reserve, which lies on the site of the old Hams Hall power station, in a loop of the River Tame. This trip will be by car and we will meet in the car park. Journey time from Kidderminster approximately 45 minutes.
Monday 29 Janauary – Sunday 29 April	The Parrot in Art	The Barber Institute, University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, Birmingham B15 2TS. (SP050835 )	Traces man’s special relationship with these colourful, exotic and intelligent birds, and explores how they have been represented in art over the centuries.
