Friday 10–Sunday 12	WMBC Birmingham Branch Norfolk weekend field trip.	The Beaumaris Hotel , Sheringham, Norfolk	Visiting Hickling Broad and Stubb Mill; Salthouse (Cley), Holkham and Titchwell — weather, tides and birds (of course) may decide detail. Waders, wildfowl and sea birds are certain, winter migrants: Snow Bunting, Shore Lark etc.; perhaps Cranes, Harriers and Owls, who knows? Tremendous potential. Cost: Around £44 per person per night. A deposit of £20 per person required, with cheques made payable to ‘The Beaumaris Hotel’. Car sharing on Saturday may be more practical to minimise convoy size.
Friday 10	60th birthday of the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust .		Founded in 1946 by the artist and naturalist Sir Peter Scott.

Sunday 26 7:30am–7:30pm	WMBC Birmingham Branch field trip.	Formby Point / RSPB Marshside, Southport .	A new venture with woodland, and sand dunes at the seaside and then coastal wetlands for probable wildfowl and raptors — plus Red Squirrels!
Sunday 26 9:00am–6:00pm	WMBC Kidderminster Branch field trip.	Slimbridge	A full day visit to this popular WWT reserve on the banks of the River Severn. Travel will be by minibus, from the Broadwaters car park. The cost will be £10.00 plus the entrance fee to the reserve. A non-returnable deposit of £5 will be required to book your place on the bus.

Graham Bell: Siberian Dream Graham was eleven when his parents bought him the Witherby Handbook. He could not believe his eyes in seeing an illustration of a pink gull, and decided then that to see this bird was his ambition. His talk describes the fulfilment of that dream.
