The West Midland Bird Club celebrated its 70th Anniversary with a cake depicting its Ruddy Duck logo. New members who joined at the recent Birdwatchers' Summer Fair and Wildlife Photofair, and were treated to a slice of birthday cake and champagne, included the club's 2000th member, Mrs Jennifer Smith of Tamworth.
