The following appeard in Birdwatching Magazine, July 1991

Bill Oddie, who opened the West Midland Bird Club's Spring Birdwatchers Fair at Kingsbury Water Park, chaired a question-time session and led birdwatching walks around the Warwickshire site. Estimated attendance for the two-day event in May was around 3000 and the local RSPB members group enrolled more than 200 new members. The host club also gained 60 new members, and club chairman Alan Richards says it is almost certain that another WMBC Spring Fair will be held in 1992.
Yorkshire reader Philip Gibson was the winner of the Bird Watching magazine competition at the Fair, and a new telescope generously donated by Greenkat, is on its way to him In Doncaster. Other winners were: B.
