West Midland Bird Club

Logo

The West Midland Bird Club's logo has the head and neck of a Grey Heron, a bird flourishing throughout the region and studied in depth by the Club. The heron is superimposed over the outline of the four counties served by the club, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire and the West Midlands.

Above the heron and overlying the area outline are the West Midland Bird Club's initial letters 'WMBC', each being the stylised shape of a flying bird.

Hidden in the bend of the heron's neck can be seen the head of the club's former logo-species, a Ruddy Duck.

The logo is in the club's colours of green on a cream background. It was designed by Andy Lawrence, and officially launched the Club's AGM on 20 May 2003.
