Please make sure to report your sightings to our County Recorders. News of interesting birds, other than vulnerable or breeding species, can also be disseminated using one of the following:
The West Midland Bird Club telephone hotline, 01283 791171, is kindly provided and run by one of our members, Eric Clare. It receives and relays the latest news of bird sightings and movements in the four counties of the West Midland region. There is also occasional news of reserve openings, club meetings, etc. The Hotline is not available between 7–8 pm. Please observe this "curfew", to allow Eric use of his phone for personal calls.
"01283" is a Burton-on Trent number, charged at normal call rates, which will depend on your location and service provider.
For those who prefer more modern technology, the Club operates e-mail discussion lists for Staffordshire, the West Midlands county and Worcestershire (There is also a Warwickshire mailing list, not run by the club).
