West Midland Bird Club: Bibliography for Worcestershire

As well as publishing the Annual Report on the birds of the West Midland region, the club has published some site-specific reports. Similar reports are also published by other organisations.

Birds of Worcestershire, The Harthan, A. Littlebury and Company Ltd., 1947. 80pp. The preface credits I am much indebted to the Birmingham Bird Club [as the West Midland Bird Club was then known] for the numerous notes upon Worcestershire birds that have appeared in their annual reports since 1934. Harthan edited the Report from 1939 to 1945.

Birds of the Malvern Hills and the Surrounding Area, 2003 2003 Booklet; A5 Many of the above group of birders reformed in 2001, and decided to resume publication of an annual report, this being the first, covering birds seen in 2002. 260 copies were produced.

On sale through Beacon Books (Malvern), The Map Shop (Upton), Ledbury Maps and Books and the Tourist Information Centres in Upton, Ledbury and Malvern. If you have difficulty getting it from these shops you can buy from from D. A. Cunliffe, as above — but please buy from a shop if you can; that way they will order more copies of future editions!
