We need your help!
Do you have a set of West Midland Bird Club Bulletins gathering dust in your loft? Do you have letters from the Club's founders, about the Club's early days?
The Club is currently in negotiation with a leading regional reference library, to assemble a "West Midland Bird Club Collection". This would include Annual Reports, Bulletins, Reserve Reports, other publications, formal minutes, other ephemera (posters, leaflets, programmes, etc.) and research material, together with private correspondence relating to such items.
Sadly, the Club itself does not posses a complete set of Annual or Site reports, nor Bulletins. We are therefore appealing to you, the Club's members, for help in compiling such a collection. We are seeking donations - or bequests - of material.
Any items received will be handed to the library, for safe keeping in the Club's name, in perpetuity (after first being scanned for use on the Club's website, where appropriate). Duplicate items will be disposed of at the Club's discretion, possibly to other libraries, or sold by auction to raise funds for the Club.
